Abstract
Described herein are extracellular vesicles and methods of using the extracellular vesicles. The extracellular vesicles can include a targeting peptide and an active agent, where the targeting peptide targets senescent cells.
Claims20
An extracellular vesicle comprising a targeting peptide and an active agent,
- wherein the targeting peptide is a programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) binding peptide having at least 80% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:
- 1, and
- wherein the targeting peptide targets senescent cells.
A method for reducing cellular senescence by restoring expression levels of MIR503HG in senescent smooth muscle cells, the method comprising administering to a subject in need thereof an extracellular vesicle comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a MIR503HG long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) having at least 80% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:
- 2, and a targeting peptide, wherein the targeting peptide targets senescent cells.
