Abstract
Consumer product compositions, such as fabric care compositions, that include first and second populations of encapsulates, where at least one of the populations is characterized by a relatively high core:shell weight ratio. Methods related to the use and making of such compositions.
Claims20
A consumer product composition comprising:
- a first population of encapsulates having a first core material surrounded by a first shell material, the first core material comprising a first benefit agent,
- wherein the first core material and the first shell material are present in a first core:shell weight ratio of 95:5 or greater;
- and
- a second population of encapsulates having a second core material surrounded by a second shell material, the second core material comprising a second benefit agent,
- wherein the second core material and the second shell material are present in a second core:shell weight ratio of less than 95:5.

A consumer product composition comprising:
- a first population of encapsulates comprising a first core material surrounded by a first shell material, the first core material comprising a first benefit agent,
- wherein the first core material and the first shell material are present in a first core:shell weight ratio of 95:5 or greater,
- wherein the first population of encapsulates are of a first predetermined size and have a first fracture strength;
- and
- a second population of encapsulates comprising a second core material surrounded by a second shell material, the second core material comprising a second benefit agent,
- wherein the second population of encapsulates are of a second predetermined size and have a second fracture strength,
- wherein the difference between the first fracture strength and the second fracture strength is at least 0.5 MPa.
