• The liquid crystal aligning agent according to claim 1 wherein the content of the compound (B) is 0.1 to 30 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the component (A).

• The liquid crystal aligning agent according 1 claim 1, which further contains an additive component selected from a crosslinkable compound, adhesion improving agent, a dielectric or a conductive substance to adjust the dielectric constant or the electrical resistance of the liquid crystal alignment film, a stabilizer, a surfactant and an antifoaming agent.

• A method for producing a liquid crystal alignment film, which comprises applying the liquid crystal aligning agent as defined in claim 1 to a substrate, baking the liquid crystal aligning agent, and irradiating the obtained film with polarized radiation.

• A method for producing a liquid crystal alignment film, which comprises applying the liquid crystal aligning agent as defined in claim 1 to a substrate, baking the liquid crystal aligning agent, and applying rubbing treatment to the obtained film.

• A liquid crystal alignment film, which is formed of the liquid crystal aligning agent as in claim 1 to a substrate.

• The method for producing a liquid crystal alignment film according to claim 9, wherein on the liquid crystal aligning agent-coated surface of the substrate, an electrode or wiring containing silver is disposed.

• A liquid crystal display device, which has the liquid crystal alignment film as defined in claim 11.

• The liquid crystal display device according to claim 13, wherein as an electrode and/or a wiring of the liquid crystal display device, a material containing silver is used.
