Abstract
A heat transfer device that facilitates efficient heat transfer to and from enclosed portions of a container, a heating device, and a processing device are provided. The heat transfer device includes receptacles into and from which the enclosed portions of the container, which can enclose samples, are configured to be insertable and removable. The receptacles are configured to be able to transfer heat to and from the received enclosed portions. The receptacles are configured to be enlargeable and contractible, and to be biased in a contracting direction at least when enlarged.

A heat transfer device comprising a receptacle into and from which an enclosed portion of a container that can enclose a sample is configured to be insertable and removable, the receptacle configured to be able to transfer heat to and from the received enclosed portion,
