Abstract
The present application relates to the use of 3,3′-(1,3-phenylenebis(oxy))bis(1-(piperidin-1-yl)propan-2-ol (VE607) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for the inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 and/or management of COVID-19.

A method for preventing or treating a SARS-CoV-2 infection or a related disease and/or for reducing the risk of developing a SARS-CoV-2-related disease or the severity of a SARS-CoV-2-related disease in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of 3,3′-(1,3-phenylenebis(oxy))bis(1-(piperidin-1-yl)propan-2-ol (VE607) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A method for blocking the entry of SARS-CoV-2 in an ACE2-expressing cell, the method comprising contacting the SARS-CoV-2 and/or cell with an effective amount of 3,3′-(1,3-phenylenebis(oxy))bis(1-(piperidin-1-yl)propan-2-ol (VE607) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
