Abstract
Provided herein are guanidinoacetic acid or its derivatives thereof, compositions comprising the same, as well as the use thereof, particularly for topical or systematic treatment of pain, itch, eczema or other inflammatory disorders.

A method for treating pain, itch or eczema in a human subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the human subject a composition comprising a guanidinoacetic acid derivative of Formula (2):
- H2NC(═NR1)NHCH2COR2 FORMULA (2)
- wherein, R1 is an acyl radical selected from the group consisting of acetyl, propanoyl, isobutanoyl, benzoyl, phenylacetyl, 2-acetoxybenzoyl, and pyroglutamyl;
- R2 is OR3;
- and R3 is methyl or ethyl.
