Abstract
The present invention involves novel urea compositions for oral administration, that are useful for treatment or management of hyponatremia. Also disclosed are novel methods of making the urea compositions.

A method of treating hyponatremia in a patient in need thereof, comprising:
- combining water with a powder composition to make an aqueous composition, the powder composition comprising:
- (a) 60-80 wt % urea;
- (b) 7-12 wt % polysaccharide having a dextrose equivalent (DE) between 3 and 20;
- and
- (c) 3-7 wt % calcium silicate, and
- orally administering the aqueous composition to the patient in need thereof.
