Abstract
An analyte sensor comprising: a sensing layer disposed on the analyte sensor; and a membrane disposed over at least a portion of the sensing layer, wherein the membrane comprises a low surface tension polymer of a modified polysiloxane in an amount of 1% or less by weight of a total formulation of the membrane.

-20. (canceled)
An analyte sensor comprising:
- a first portion configured to be positioned above a user's skin;
- a second portion configured to be transcutaneously positioned through the user's skin and in contact with the user's bodily fluid to detect an analyte in the bodily fluid in vivo;
- the first portion comprising:
- a sensing layer disposed on a first working electrode, the sensing layer comprising a polymeric electron transfer agent to transfer electrons between the analyte and the first working electrode;
- and
- a membrane disposed over at least a portion of the sensing layer, the membrane comprising up to about 1% by weight of a modified polysiloxane.
3 more elements
A method for monitoring a level of an analyte, the method comprising:
- collecting data from an analyte sensor, the data correlating to a level of analyte from signals generated by the analyte sensor,
- wherein the analyte sensor comprises:
- a first portion configured to be positioned above a user's skin;
- a second portion configured to be transcutaneously positioned through the user's skin and in contact with the user's bodily fluid to detect an analyte in the bodily fluid in vivo;
- the first portion comprising:
- a sensing layer disposed on a first working electrode, the sensing layer comprising a polymeric electron transfer agent to transfer electrons between the analyte and the first working electrode;
- and
- a membrane disposed over at least a portion of the sensing layer, the membrane comprising up to about 1% by weight of a modified polysiloxane.
