Turbocharger control device for vehicle and method of estimating base boost pressure by using the same

A method of estimating a base boost pressure, the method comprising:

• collecting status information when a vehicle enters a turbo control-on status during an operation;
• estimating a turbine power minimum value by using a turbine power function reflecting a flow rate of exhaust gas passing through a turbine, a temperature of the exhaust gas upstream of the turbine, and a temperature of the exhaust gas downstream of the turbine of the status information;
• estimating compressor efficiency by constructing an efficiency estimation function for a flow rate of intake air passing through a compressor, a rotational speed of the compressor, a temperature of intake air upstream of the compressor, and a pressure of intake air upstream of the compressor of the status information;
• estimating a compressor power minimum value by substituting the compressor efficiency into a compressor power function reflecting the flow rate of the intake air passing through the compressor, the temperature of the exhaust gas upstream of the turbine, and the temperature of the exhaust gas downstream of the turbine of the status information;
• and
• estimating a base boost pressure via an inverse function of the compressor power function assuming that the turbine power minimum value and the compressor power minimum value are equal.
