A series of systems are disclosed for the capture of harmful emissions, and subsequent use of the captured gasses e.g. in combustion. Engines or other combustors are operated to increase the production of more useful emissions such as Carbon Monoxide CO and Oxides of Nitrogen NOx. Also disclosed are methods for using wasted heat from engines, brakes and shock absorbers, and for cooling solar panels for increased efficiency. Fuel pumps are disclosed with additional tubing to remove captured exhaust from vehicles, as well as supplying additional vehicle fluids. Monitoring systems may track emissions reduced or removed, and may be used as an accreditation/trading system.
An active resource harvesting system comprising a tank arranged to accept in emissions/exhaust/effluent from a system or device where the burning of hydrocarbons, volatile hydrocarbons and/or fixed carbon occurs and in which the emissions/exhaust/effluent would conventionally be regarded as an undesired waste product and arranged to discharge the emissions/exhaust/effluent for use as a feedstock in another useful process/processes (other than merely trying to sequester, discard or destroy etc), with means to separate the emissions/exhaust/effluent into constituent/useful parts at source and/or at a remote location for use of the emissions/exhaust/effluent, the system is arranged to feed the harvest of emissions/exhaust/effluent along exhaust stream to the tank/tanks.
