Protective garment

Protective garment (100) in the form of a pantie, a pair of trousers or other legwear with or without an upper/torso part, the protective garment (100) being a washable garment arranged for repeated use comprising

• a front part (101);
• a back part (102);
• a waist (103);
• and
• a crotch part (110) having a leak-proof body (120),
• wherein
• the crotch part (110) comprises, in order from an inner part of the crotch part (110) to an outer part of the crotch part (110):
• a first distribution layer (122) having relatively large pores;
• a second distribution layer (123) having relatively small pores;
• a liquid-absorbing layer (124);
• and
• a liquid barrier (126),
• wherein the crotch part (110) comprises a plurality of connections (128), joining together the first distribution layer (122) to at least one additional layer of the crotch part (110), and wherein the plurality of connections (128) defines a connection pattern distributed across the first distribution layer (122) distributed to cover at least 50% of the first distribution layer (122) at a location of the genitalia of a standing user wearing the protective garment (100).
