Method and device for transferring a transfer layer of a transfer film onto a substrate

An offset printing device for transferring a transfer ply of a transfer film to a substrate, the offset printing device having a first printing unit, the first printing unit comprising:

• a first transfer cylinder having a transfer medium on an outer surface of the transfer cylinder, the transfer medium having one or more raised regions forming at least one motif;
• a first substrate cylinder for feeding the substrate through a gap formed between the first transfer cylinder and the first substrate cylinder;
• an anilox roller for transferring a first adhesion promoter to the transfer medium of the first transfer cylinder, the anilox roller being displaceable between a coupled position in which a connection is provided between the anilox roller and the transfer medium and a decoupled position in which the connection between the anilox roller and the transfer medium is removed, the anilox roller being inoperable in the decoupled position;
• and
• a first inking unit having at least one inking roller and a first plate cylinder for transferring an ink to the transfer medium of the first transfer cylinder, the first inking unit being displaceable between a coupled position in which a connection is provided between the first inking unit and the transfer medium and a decoupled position in which the connection between the first inking unit and the transfer medium is removed, the first inking unit being inoperable in the decoupled position,
• wherein the first transfer cylinder is designed in such a way that the first adhesion promoter or the ink provided on the one or more raised regions of the outer transfer medium is transferred from the transfer medium to a first region of the surface of the substrate in a pattern of the at least one first motif.
