Abstract
A hydraulic cement composition is provided. The composition comprises a hydraulic cement and at least one anti-corrosion agent selected from the group consisting of urea, derivatives of urea, and combinations thereof. The composition can be mixed with water to form a carbon dioxide-resistant hydraulic cement slurry. A hydraulic cement slurry and a method of cementing in a carbon dioxide environment are also provided.
Claims20
A method of cementing in a carbon dioxide environment, comprising:
- preparing a hydraulic cement slurry, said hydraulic cement slurry including:
- a hydraulic cement;
- at least one anti-corrosion agent selected from the group of urea, derivatives of urea, and combinations thereof;
- and
- water;
- placing said hydraulic cement slurry in said carbon dioxide environment;
- and
- allowing said hydraulic cement slurry to harden and set.
