Estimation of Motion Repetition using Local Magnetic Field Distortion

A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising computer readable code executable by one or more processors to:

• capture first sensor data, by a first magnetometer on a wearable device, a change in a magnetic field indicative of a ferromagnetic object moving in relation to the wearable device;
• determine, based on the first sensor data, one or more characteristics of a user motion;
• determine a count of repetitions of the user motion based on the one or more characteristics of the user motion;
• and
• generate a notification of the count of repetitions.

A system comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• one or more computer readable media comprising computer readable code executable by the one or more processors to:
• capture first sensor data, by a first magnetometer on a wearable device, a change in a magnetic field indicative of a ferromagnetic object moving in relation to the wearable device;
• determine, based on the first sensor data, one or more characteristics of a user motion;
• determine a count of repetitions of the user motion based on the one or more characteristics of the user motion;
• and
• generate a notification of the count of repetitions.
