Calibrating Acoustic Instruments for a Physical Environment

A device comprising:

• a display;
• an environmental sensor;
• one or more processors;
• a non-transitory memory;
• and
• one or more programs stored in the non-transitory memory, which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to:
• display, on the display, virtual acoustic instruments as being overlaid onto a pass-through of a physical environment;
• perform, based on respective characteristics of the virtual acoustic instruments, an acoustic simulation in order to generate estimated acoustic parameters for respective locations within the physical environment;
• and
• display, on the display, an indication of the estimated acoustic parameters.

A non-transitory memory storing one or more programs, which, when executed by one or more processors of a device with an environmental sensor and a display, cause the device to:

• display, on the display, virtual acoustic instruments as being overlaid onto a pass-through of a physical environment;
• perform, based on respective characteristics of the virtual acoustic instruments, an acoustic simulation in order to generate estimated acoustic parameters for respective locations within the physical environment;
• and
• display, on the display, an indication of the estimated acoustic parameters.
