Abstract
A method for determining a paging indication bit, performed by a user equipment (UE) includes: determining, according to a paging group identifier (ID) of the UE, a paging indication bit index of a paging indication bit corresponding to the paging group ID of the UE in a paging earlier indication (PEI); and decoding the paging indication bit corresponding to the paging group ID of the UE in the PEI according to the paging indication bit index.

A method for determining a paging indication bit, performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- determining, according to a paging group identifier (ID) of the UE, a paging indication bit index of a paging indication bit corresponding to the paging group ID of the UE in a paging early indication (PEI);
- and
- decoding the paging indication bit corresponding to the paging group ID of the UE in the PEI according to the paging indication bit index.
A method for determining a paging indication bit, performed by a base station, comprising:
- determining, according to a paging group identifier (ID) of a user equipment (UE) for which paging indication is to be performed, a paging indication bit index of a paging indication bit corresponding to the paging group ID of the UE;
- and
- determining the paging indication bit corresponding to the paging group ID of the UE in a paging early indication (PEI) according to the paging indication bit index.

A communication device comprising:
- a processor, and
- a memory having an executable program executable by the processor stored thereon wherein the processor is configured to:
- determine, according to a paging group identifier (ID) of the UE, a paging indication bit index of a paging indication bit corresponding to the paging group ID of the UE in a paging early indication (PEI);
- and
- decode the paging indication bit corresponding to the paging group ID of the UE in the PEI according to the paging indication bit index.
