An apparatus comprising at least one processor; and at least one memory including computer program code; the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform: enabling dual active protocol stack, DAPS, handover, comprising: receiving DAPS handover configuration information comprising information indicating one or more bearers that are to be released; and maintaining the one or more bearers during a random-access procedure with a target access node.

- enabling dual active protocol stack, DAPS, handover, comprising:
- receiving DAPS handover configuration information comprising information indicating one or more bearers that are to be released;
- and
- maintaining the one or more bearers during a random-access procedure with a target access node.

- transmitting the DAPS handover configuration information.

- receiving a DAPS handover request comprising an indication that delayed bearer release is to be used;

- transmitting the DAPS handover configuration information.
