Abstract
This application relates to communication methods and apparatuses. An access network device determines that a first beam of a first cell meets a load migration condition, and the access network device evaluates performance of the first terminal device on N candidate beams based on information about the N candidate beams. When determining, based on the result of the evaluation, that a first candidate beam satisfies a performance requirement in the N candidate beams, the access network device migrates the first terminal device to a second cell to which the first candidate beam belongs.
Claims20
A communication method, applied to an access network device, wherein the method comprises:
- determining that a first beam of a first cell satisfies a load migration condition, wherein the first beam is a serving beam of a first terminal device;
- evaluating, based on information about N candidate beams, performance of the first terminal device on the N candidate beams that do not belong to the first cell, wherein N is a positive integer;
- and
- when determining, based on a result of evaluating the performance, that a first candidate beam in the N candidate beams satisfies a performance requirement, migrating the first terminal device to a second cell to which the first candidate beam belongs.
A communication apparatus, comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- a memory storing a program to be executed by the processor, the program including instructions to:
- determine that a first beam of a first cell satisfies a load migration condition, wherein the first beam is a serving beam of a first terminal device;
- evaluate, based on information about N candidate beams, performance of the first terminal device on the N candidate beams that do not belong to the first cell, wherein Nis a positive integer;
- and
- when determining, based on a result of evaluating the performance, that a first candidate beam in the N candidate beams satisfies a performance requirement, migrate the first terminal device to a second cell to which the first candidate beam belongs.
