Method and apparatus for providing information regarding user equipment in wireless communication system

A method performed by a base station in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

• transmitting, to a terminal, a first message comprising first information configuring a reporting of a minimum scheduling offset preferred by the terminal for a subcarrier spacing for frequency range (FR) 2-2;
• and
• receiving, from the terminal, a second message comprising second information that is assistance information indicating the minimum scheduling offset preferred by the terminal for the subcarrier spacing,
• wherein the subcarrier spacing comprises at least one of 480 kHz or 960 kHz,
• wherein the first message further comprises third information configuring a reporting of a minimum scheduling offset preferred by the terminal for a subcarrier spacing different from the subcarrier spacing for FR 2-2, and
• wherein the first information and the third information are different from each other.

A terminal in a wireless communication system, the terminal comprising:

• a transceiver;
• and
• a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to:
• receive, from a base station, a first message comprising first information configuring a reporting of a minimum scheduling offset preferred by the terminal for a subcarrier spacing for frequency range (FR) 2-2, and
• transmit, to the base station, a second message comprising second information that is assistance information indicating the minimum scheduling offset preferred by the terminal for the subcarrier spacing,
• wherein the subcarrier spacing comprises at least one of 480 kHz or 960 kHz,
• wherein the first message further comprises third information configuring a reporting of a minimum scheduling offset preferred by the terminal for a subcarrier spacing different from the subcarrier spacing for FR 2-2, and
• wherein the first information and the third information are different from each other.

A base station in a wireless communication system, the base station comprising:

• a transceiver;
• and
• a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to:
• transmit, to a terminal, a first message comprising first information configuring a reporting of a minimum scheduling offset preferred by the terminal for a subcarrier spacing for frequency range (FR) 2-2, and
• receive, from the terminal, a second message comprising second information that is assistance information indicating the minimum scheduling offset preferred by the terminal for the subcarrier spacing,
• wherein the subcarrier spacing comprises at least one of 480 kHz or 960 kHz,
• wherein the first message further comprises third information configuring a reporting of a minimum scheduling offset preferred by the terminal for a subcarrier spacing different from the subcarrier spacing for FR 2-2, and
• wherein the first information and the third information are different from each other.
