Antenna recycling for carrier aggregation

A method for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• transmitting an indication of a capability of the UE to receive downlink transmissions over a plurality of component carriers with a first quantity of antennas;
• and
• receiving, in accordance with the indication of the capability of the UE, the downlink transmissions with at least a subset of the first quantity of antennas and over at least a subset of the plurality of component carriers.

A user equipment (UE) for wireless communications, comprising:

• means for transmitting an indication of a capability of the UE to receive downlink transmissions over a plurality of component carriers with a first quantity of antennas;
• and
• means for receiving, in accordance with the indication of the capability of the UE, the downlink transmissions with at least a subset of the first quantity of antennas and over at least a subset of the plurality of component carriers.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing code for wireless communications, the code comprising instructions executable by one or more processors to:

• transmit an indication of a capability of a user equipment (UE) to receive downlink transmissions over a plurality of component carriers with a first quantity of antennas;
• and
• receive, in accordance with the indication of the capability of the UE, the downlink transmissions with at least a subset of the first quantity of antennas and over at least a subset of the plurality of component carriers.
