Communication route setting method

A communication route setting device comprising:

• at least one memory configured to store instructions;
• and
• at least one processor configured to execute instructions to:
• acquire an optical signal on a transmission path in a network in which optical communication devices are connected to each other via an optical transmission path;
• determine a physical condition of at least one object of the optical transmission path and the optical communication devices, on a basis of the optical signal;
• and
• set a communication route for transmitting the optical signal on the network, on a basis of the determined physical condition.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing thereon a program comprising instructions for causing a computer to execute processing to:

• acquire an optical signal on a transmission path in a network in which optical communication devices are connected to each other via an optical transmission path;
• determine a physical condition of at least one object of the optical transmission path and the optical communication devices, on a basis of the optical signal;
• and
• set a communication route for transmitting the optical signal on the network, on a basis of the determined physical condition.
