Abstract
Aspects of the present disclosure provide a manner of avoiding excessive latency and resource consumption due to exhaustive beam searching and pairing for finding an appropriate bi-directional beam pair combination with manageable mutual interference to enable point-to-point FD transmission. Aspects of the present disclosure also provide a solution for enabling multi-user transmission where one or all UEs are with FD capability and the cross-UE interference raised from FD transmission are measured and taken into account during multi-user pairing.
Claims20
A method applied in a first apparatus, comprising:
- receiving, configuration information comprising a set of candidate beams that the first apparatus beamforms to receive a signal from or transmit a signal towards;
- receiving configuration information comprising transmit beam information associated with transmission by a second apparatus with a network device;
- for a UE transmit and UE receive beam pair for use by the first apparatus selected from one or multiple UE transmit and UE receive beam pairs, each UE transmit beam and UE receive beam belonging to the set of candidate beams:
- receiving a reference signal (RS) from the second apparatus on the UE receive beam, wherein the RS is for cross-apparatus interference measurement;
- measuring interference signal strength of the RS on the UE receive angle;
- determining cross-apparatus interference for the UE receive beam based on the RS;
- selecting a UE transmit and UE receive beam pair based on the determined cross-apparatus interference, wherein the selected UE transmit and UE receive beam pair belongs to the one or multiple UE transmit and UE receive beam pairs.
An apparatus comprising:
- at least one processor coupled with a computer-readable medium having stored thereon computer executable instructions, when the instructions executed by the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to:
- receive configuration information comprising a set of candidate beams that the apparatus beamforms to receive a signal from or transmit a signal towards;
- receive configuration information comprising transmit beam information associated with transmission by a second apparatus with a network device;
- for a UE transmit and UE receive beam pair for use by the first apparatus selected from one or multiple UE transmit and UE receive beam pairs, each UE transmit beam and UE receive beam belonging to the set of candidate beams:
- receive a reference signal (RS) from the second apparatus on the UE receive beam, wherein the RS is for cross-apparatus interference measurement;
- measure interference signal strength of the RS on the UE receive beam;
- determine cross-apparatus interference for the UE receive beam based on the RS;
- select a UE transmit and UE receive beam pair based on the determined cross-apparatus interference, wherein the selected UE transmit and UE receive beam pair belongs to the one or multiple UE transmit and UE receive angle beams.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored thereon computer-executable instructions, that when executed by a processor, cause the processor to:
- receive configuration information comprising a set of candidate beams that a first apparatus beamforms to receive a signal from or transmit a signal towards;
- receive configuration information comprising transmit beam information associated with transmission by a second apparatus with a network device;
- for a UE transmit and UE receive beam pair for use by the first apparatus selected from one or multiple UE transmit and UE receive beam pairs, each UE transmit beam and UE receive beam belonging to the set of candidate beams:
- receive a reference signal (RS) from the second apparatus on the UE receive beam, wherein the RS is for cross-apparatus interference measurement;
- measure interference signal strength of the RS on the UE receive beam;
- determine cross-apparatus interference for the UE receive beam based on the RS;
- select a UE transmit and UE receive beam pair based on the determined cross-apparatus interference, wherein the selected UE transmit and UE receive beam pair belongs to the one or multiple UE transmit and UE receive beam pairs.
