An average power tracking module comprising:
- a first output terminal and a second output terminal;
- a converter circuit configured to output a first voltage to the first output terminal and the second output terminal;
- a first feedback terminal connected to a path between a first power amplifier and the first output terminal;
- a second feedback terminal connected to a path between a second power amplifier and the second output terminal;
- and
- a control circuit connected to the first feedback terminal, the second feedback terminal, and the converter circuit.
An average power tracking circuit comprising:
- a converter circuit configured to output a first voltage;
- a first switch disposed on a first path between the converter circuit and a first power amplifier and configured to supply the first voltage to the first power amplifier;
- and
- a second switch disposed on a second path between the converter circuit and a second power amplifier and configured to supply the first voltage to the second power amplifier,
- wherein the first switch and the second switch are configured to conduct simultaneously.
A method for supplying a power supply voltage to a first power amplifier and a second power amplifier that are configured to simultaneously send respective radio frequency signals, the method comprising:
- selecting, as a first voltage, a higher voltage of a first power supply voltage based on output power of the first power amplifier and a second power supply voltage based on output power of the second power amplifier;
- and
- supplying the selected first voltage to both of the first power amplifier and the second power amplifier.
