A device for thermal management of battery cells of a battery, the device having at least one polymer element, having one or more polymers, in particular thermoplastic, wherein the at least one polymer element includes at least one fluid channel having an inlet and an outlet, wherein the at least one fluid channel is adapted such to provide a fluid flow in at least one direction, preferably in at least two directions, preferably in at three directions parallel to a main direction of extension of the polymer element, in particular wherein at least two of the three directions are parallel to each other.
