Insurance based on driving data

A mobile driving data analysis computing device, comprising:

• one or more memory units comprising volatile hardware memory units, the one or more memory units configured to store thereon driving data;
• and
• one or more processors, the one or more processors configured to analyze driving data;
• wherein the mobile driving data analysis computing device is configured to store and execute a driving analysis software application, the driving analysis software application programmed to access and employ the one or more memory units and the one or more processors to:
• establish a communication session with a vehicle sensor system of a first vehicle;
• receive, from the vehicle sensor system, sensor data;
• process the sensor data to generate driving data and store the driving data associated with a user of the mobile driving data analysis computing device;
• compare the driving data to one or more driving thresholds encoded into the driving analysis software application and generate thereby a comparison of the driving data to the one or more driving thresholds encoded into the driving analysis software application;
• upon the comparison resulting in a positive indication that the driving data received exceeds a minimum threshold amount of driving data, determine an eligibility for an insurance offer based on an analysis of the driving data;
• generate thereby a determination of the eligibility for the insurance offer;
• and
• output the determination of the eligibility for the insurance offer to one or more electronic devices.

A driving data analysis system comprising:

• an insurance provider server;
• and
• one or more driving data analysis computing devices,
• wherein the insurance provider server comprises:
• one or more processors;
• one or more memory units;
• and
• one or more networking components, wherein the insurance provider server is configured to access and employ the one or more memory units and the one or more processors to:
• transmit a driving analysis software application, via the one or more networking components, to the one or more driving data analysis computing devices, the driving analysis software application containing software code to determine conditions for one or more insurance offers based on driving data;
• wherein each of the one or more driving data analysis computing devices comprises:
• at least one memory unit, the at least one memory unit configured to store thereon vehicle driving data;
• and
• at least one processor;
• wherein one or more driving data analysis computing devices are configured to receive, store, and execute the driving analysis software application, the driving analysis software application programmed to access and employ the at least one memory unit and the at least one processor of the one or more driving data analysis computing devices to:
• establish a communication session with a vehicle sensor system of a first vehicle;
• receive, from the vehicle sensor system, sensor data;
• process the sensor data to generate driving data and store the driving data associated with a user of the driving data analysis computing device;
• compare the driving data to one or more driving thresholds encoded into the driving analysis software application and generate thereby a comparison of the driving data to the one or more driving thresholds encoded into the driving analysis software application;
• upon the comparison resulting in a positive indication that the driving data received exceeds a minimum threshold amount of driving data, determine an eligibility for an insurance offer based on an analysis of the driving data;
• generate thereby a determination of the eligibility for the insurance offer;
• and
• output the determination of the eligibility for the insurance offer to one or more electronic devices.
