System and method for intelligent resource schedule adjustment

A computerized system for resource scheduling, the system comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• a computer processor configured to:
• for one or more time intervals, predict a plurality of task properties, each of the task properties describing one or more future tasks to be handled by one or more resources;
• calculate an allocation matrix for the one or more time intervals based on the predicted task properties, the allocation matrix describing a capacity of the resources to handle the future tasks;
• and
• update a schedule based on the calculated allocation matrix, the updating of the schedule comprising automatically extending a break for one or more of the resources, wherein the resources are not to handle tasks during the break.

A method of resource allocation, the method comprising, using a computer processor:

• for one or more time periods, computing, by the processor, a plurality of job metrics, each of the job metrics describing one or more future jobs to be handled by one or more resources;
• computing, by the processor, an assignment matrix for the one or more time periods based on the computed job metrics, the assignment matrix describing a capacity of the resources to handle the future jobs;
• and
• adjusting, by the processor, a schedule based on the calculated assignment matrix, the adjusting of the schedule comprising automatically augmenting a break for one or more of the resources, wherein the resources are not to handle tasks during the break.
