Abstract
An information handling system detects execution of an application. If an application window of the application is located at an external display device and the external display device is configured in a duplicate audio mode, then audio output is provided at a default audio endpoint and duplicated at an audio endpoint associated with the external display device. The audio endpoint is configured to be interactive with an object of the application in the display or application window.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- detecting, by a processor, execution of an application in an information handling system, wherein the information handling system is connected to an external display device;
- and
- when an application window of the application is located at the external display device and the external display device is configured in an extend audio mode, then audio output is provided at an audio endpoint associated with the external display device via a virtual audio driver.
An information handling system, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory device storing instructions that when executed cause the processor to perform operations including:
- detecting execution of an application in the information handling system, wherein the information handling system is connected to an external display device;
- and
- when an application window of the application is located at the external display device and the external display device is configured in a duplicate audio mode, then audio output is provided at a default audio endpoint and duplicated at an audio endpoint associated with the external display device via a virtual audio driver.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium to store instructions that are executable to perform operations comprising:
- detecting execution of an application in an information handling system, wherein the information handling system is connected to an external display device;
- and
- when an application window of the application is located at the external display device and the external display device is configured in an extend audio mode, then audio output is provided at an audio endpoint associated with the external display device via a virtual audio driver.
