Abstract
A connection may be established between an extended reality (XR) platform and a non-XR platform. User input may be received via one of XR and non-XR devices comprised in the XR and non-XR platforms. Position information associated with the user input may be converted to be executable by an other one of the XR and non-XR devices. Controls may be implemented across the XR and non-XR platforms without switching the input mechanism associated with the one of the XR and non-XR devices to an input mechanism associated with the other one of the XR and non-XR devices.
Claims20
A method of implementing seamless interactions across extended reality (XR) and non-XR platforms, comprising:
- establishing a connection between the extended reality (XR) platform and the non-XR platform, wherein the XR platform comprises an XR device, and the non-XR platform comprises a non-XR device;
- receiving user input via an input mechanism associated with one of the XR device and the non-XR device;
- converting position information associated with the user input to be executable by an other one of the XR device and non-XR device;
- and
- implementing controls across the XR platform and the non-XR platform without switching the input mechanism associated with the one of the XR device and the non-XR device to an input mechanism associated with the other one of the XR device and non-XR device.
A system comprising:
- one or more computer processors;
- and
- one or more computer memories comprising computer-readable instructions that upon execution by the one or more computer processors, configure the system to perform operations comprising:
- establishing a connection between an extended reality (XR) platform and a non-XR platform, wherein the XR platform comprises an XR device, and the non-XR platform comprises a non-XR device;
- receiving user input via an input mechanism associated with one of the XR device and the non-XR device;
- converting position information associated with the user input to be executable by an other one of the XR device and non-XR device;
- and
- implementing controls across the XR platform and the non-XR platform without switching the input mechanism associated with the one of the XR device and the non-XR device to an input mechanism associated with the other one of the XR device and non-XR device.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, storing computer-readable instructions that upon execution by a processor cause the processor to implement operations comprising:
- establishing a connection between an extended reality (XR) platform and a non-XR platform, wherein the XR platform comprises an XR device, and the non-XR platform comprises a non-XR device;
- receiving user input via an input mechanism associated with one of the XR device and the non-XR device;
- converting position information associated with the user input to be executable by an other one of the XR device and non-XR device;
- and
- implementing controls across the XR platform and the non-XR platform without switching the input mechanism associated with the one of the XR device and the non-XR device to an input mechanism associated with the other one of the XR device and non-XR device.
