Abstract
The disclosure is related to a touch display device including a display panel. By dividing an active area of the display panel into a plurality of sub-areas, and driving a touch electrode disposed on each of the plurality of sub-areas separately, a load of the touch electrodes is reduced depending on a size of the display panel and a performance of a touch sensing can be improved.
Claims13
A touch display device comprising:
- an active area including a plurality of sub-areas divided by a first boundary along a first direction of the active area and a second boundary along a second direction of the active area that crosses the first direction, the plurality of sub-areas including a first sub-area and a second sub-area that are separated from each other by the first boundary;
- a first plurality of touch electrodes in the first sub-area;
- a second plurality of touch electrodes in the second sub-area, the second plurality of touch electrodes separated from the first plurality of touch electrodes;
- a first plurality of touch routing lines connected to the first plurality of touch electrodes, the first plurality of touch routing lines extending from the first sub-area to the second sub-area such that the first plurality of touch routing lines cross the first boundary;
- and
- a second plurality of routing lines connected to the second plurality of touch electrodes,
- wherein at least one of the first plurality of touch electrodes or the second plurality of touch electrodes overlaps at least a portion of a contact hole for an electrical connection between a corresponding one of a plurality of light-emitting elements and a corresponding thin film transistor.
