Server-based state space representation (ssr) service enhancement for real-time kinematic (rtk) or precise point positioning (ppp)

A server for updating GNSS error correction data for global navigation satellite system (GNSS)-based positioning comprising:

• a transceiver;
• a memory;
• and
• one or more processors communicatively coupled with the transceiver and the memory, wherein the one or more processors are configured to:
• obtain multiple GNSS measurements crowdsourced from one or more GNSS devices across a plurality of measurement epochs;
• determine GNSS measurement residuals using the multiple GNSS measurements and existing GNSS error correction data;
• and
• send updated GNSS error correction data for GNSS-based positioning, wherein the updated GNSS error correction data is determined using the determined GNSS measurement residuals and the existing GNSS error correction data.

An apparatus for updating GNSS error correction data for global navigation satellite system (GNSS)-based positioning, the apparatus comprising:

• means for obtaining multiple GNSS measurements crowdsourced from one or more GNSS devices across a plurality of measurement epochs;
• means for determining GNSS measurement residuals using the multiple GNSS measurements and existing GNSS error correction data;
• and
• means for sending updated GNSS error correction data for GNSS-based positioning, wherein the updated GNSS error correction data is determined using the determined GNSS measurement residuals and the existing GNSS error correction data.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions for updating GNSS error correction data for global navigation satellite system (GNSS)-based positioning, the instructions comprising code for:

• obtaining multiple GNSS measurements crowdsourced from one or more GNSS devices across a plurality of measurement epochs;
• determining GNSS measurement residuals using the multiple GNSS measurements and existing GNSS error correction data;
• and
• sending updated GNSS error correction data for GNSS-based positioning, wherein the updated GNSS error correction data is determined using the determined GNSS measurement residuals and the existing GNSS error correction data.
