Abstract
A suspension rod for suspending a main magnet of a magnetic resonance device, including a first end, a second end, and a collar configured to deflect thermal radiation, wherein the collar is mechanically connected to the suspension rod and circumferentially encompasses the suspension rod along a section of the suspension rod located between the first end and the second end. Furthermore, a shielding assembly, including the disclosed suspension rod, and a magnetic resonance device, including the disclosed shielding assembly.
Claims15
A suspension rod for suspending a main magnet of a magnetic resonance device, comprising:
- a first end;
- a second end;
- and
- a collar configured to deflect thermal radiation, wherein the collar is mechanically connected to the suspension rod and circumferentially encompasses the suspension rod along a section of the suspension rod located between the first end and the second end.
A shielding assembly, comprising:
- a suspension rod;
- a thermal shield;
- and
- an outer vacuum chamber,
- wherein a second end of the suspension rod is mechanically connected to the outer vacuum chamber,
- wherein the suspension rod is routed through a passage in the thermal shield, and wherein the thermal shield comprises a cover comprising a thermally insulating material, the cover is mechanically attached to the thermal shield to occlude the passage in the thermal shield, and the suspension rod pierces the cover to pass through the passage in the thermal shield.
