Abstract
A spray apparatus having built-in air regulation and a swivel connection to an air supply and uses thereof are described herein.
Claims20
A spray apparatus, comprising:
- a handle body, wherein the handle body includes a passage between an inlet and an outlet on the handle body;
- a swivel connector coupled to the inlet, wherein the swivel connector is configured to be coupled to a pressurized air source;
- an actuator coupled to a first portion of the handle body, wherein the actuator includes a valve stem positioned inside a first portion of the passage in the handle body, and wherein the valve stem is configured to be pushed out of the passage when the actuator is activated to open a flow of a pressurized air through the passage in the handle body, the flow of the pressurized air through the passage in the handle body being closed when the actuator is not activated and the valve stem is pushed into the passage;
- an opening coupled to the passage for allowing a medium to enter the passage;
- an air regulator assembly coupled to a second portion of the handle body, the second portion being different from the first portion, wherein the air regulator assembly includes a pin portion positioned inside a second portion of the passage in the handle body, and wherein a position of the pin portion inside the second portion of the passage determines the flow of the pressurized air through the passage in the handle body when the actuator opens the flow of the pressurized air through the passage in the handle body in order to control a pressure of the pressurized air and the medium exiting the outlet on the handle body;
- and
- a nozzle assembly coupled to the outlet on the handle body, wherein the nozzle assembly includes a rotor with an opening extending through at least a portion of the nozzle assembly, the opening being angled such that an outlet of the opening is offset a distance in a radial direction from a longitudinal axis of the rotor, and wherein the rotor rotates from a flow of the pressurized air ejected from the outlet.

A spray apparatus, comprising:
- a handle body, wherein the handle body includes a passage between an inlet and an outlet on the handle body;
- a swivel connector coupled to the inlet, wherein the swivel connector is configured to be coupled to a pressurized air source;
- an actuator coupled to a first portion of the passage, wherein the actuator is configured to start a flow of a pressurized air through the passage in the handle body through an activation of the actuator, the flow of the pressurized air through the passage being stopped when the actuator is not activated;
- an opening coupled to the passage for allowing a medium to enter the passage;
- an air regulator assembly coupled to a second portion of the passage different than the first portion, wherein the air regulator assembly includes a pin portion positioned inside the second portion of the passage in the handle body, the pin portion being coupled to an outer portion of the air regulator assembly positioned outside the handle body, and wherein a position of the pin portion inside the second portion of the passage is adjustable to determine the flow of the pressurized air through the passage in the handle body for controlling a pressure of the flow of the pressurized air and the medium exiting the handle body when the actuator is activated to start the flow of the pressurized air through the passage;
- and
- a nozzle assembly coupled to the outlet on the handle body, wherein the nozzle assembly includes a rotor with an opening extending through at least a portion of the nozzle assembly, the opening being angled such that an outlet of the opening is offset a distance in a radial direction from a longitudinal axis of the rotor, and wherein the rotor rotates from a flow of the pressurized air ejected from the outlet.

- a tube coupled to the passage, the tube providing fluid communication for a medium to enter the passage;
- an air regulator assembly coupled to a second portion of the handle body, the second portion being different from the first portion, wherein the air regulator assembly includes a pin portion positioned inside a second portion of the passage in the handle body, and wherein a position of the pin portion inside the second portion of the passage determines the flow of the pressurized air through the passage in the handle body when the actuator opens the flow of the pressurized air through the passage in the handle body in order to control a pressure of the pressurized air and the medium exiting the outlet on the handle body;
