Abstract
A polarizer includes a polarizing functional layer and a whisker arranged within the polarizing functional layer. After dyeing and stretching, the polarizing functional layer converts natural light into polarized light, and the whiskers are directionally arranged within the polarizing functional layer. The whisker has a long axis, and the extension direction of the long axis has an angle of −5 degrees to 5 degrees with the absorption axis of the polarizing functional layer. The present disclosure also provides a method for preparing a polarizer, and a display panel having a polarizer.

A polarizer, comprising:
- a polarizing functional layer, for converting natural light into polarized light;
- and
- whiskers, directionally arranged within the polarizing functional layer;
- wherein each of the whiskers has a long axis, and an extension direction of the long axis has an angle of −5 degrees to 5 degrees with an absorption axis of the polarizing functional layer.
A method for preparing a polarizer, comprising:
- mixing polarizing materials and whiskers to form a polarizing substrate, wherein the whiskers have a long axis;
- and
- stretching the polarizing base layer to form a polarizing functional layer, so that the whiskers are oriented and arranged, and the angle between the extension direction of the long axis and the absorption axis of the polarizing functional layer is −5 degrees to 5 degrees.
A display panel, comprising:
- a panel body;
- and
- a polarizer, attached to the panel body, the polarizer comprising:
- a polarizing functional layer, for converting natural light into polarized light;
- and
- whiskers, directionally arranged within the polarizing functional layer;
- wherein each of the whiskers has a long axis, and an extension direction of the long axis has an angle of −5 degrees to 5 degrees with an absorption axis of the polarizing functional layer.
