Abstract
An apparatus for manufacturing an optical device including a barrel portion and a first lens arranged in the barrel portion includes a light simulation part that receives initial design values for the optical device and simulate light passing through the optical device, and a Monte Carlo simulation part that determines whether the initial design values are appropriate by using Monte Carlo simulation.

An apparatus for manufacturing an optical device comprising a barrel portion and a first lens arranged in the barrel portion, the apparatus comprising:
- a light simulation part that receives initial design values for the optical device and simulate light passing through the optical device;
- and
- a Monte Carlo simulation part that determines whether the initial design values are appropriate by using Monte Carlo simulation.
A method of manufacturing an optical device comprising a barrel portion and a first lens arranged in the barrel portion, the method comprising:
- a light simulation operation of receiving initial design values for the optical device and simulating light passing through the optical device;
- and
- a Monte Carlo simulation operation of determining whether the initial design values are appropriate by using Monte Carlo simulation.
