Magnetic sensor device

A magnetic sensor device comprising:

• first detection means for detecting a component of a magnetic field in one direction and generate a first detection signal;
• second detection means for detecting a component of the magnetic field in another direction and generate a second detection signal;
• and
• processing means for:
• generating a first initial detection value using the first detection signal;
• generating a second initial detection value using the second detection signal;
• correcting the first initial detection value by using a second correction value generated from a latest one of the second initial detection value without using the first initial detection value, and updating the first initial detection value;
• correcting the second initial detection value by using a first correction value generated from a latest one of the first initial detection value without using the second initial detection value, and updating the second initial detection value;
• and
• determining a first detection value that represents a component parallel to a first reference direction of the magnetic field, based on the latest one of the first initial detection value;
• and
• determining a second detection value that represents a component parallel to a second reference direction of the magnetic field, based on the latest one of the second initial detection value.

A method of detecting a magnetic field comprising:

• detecting a component of a magnetic field in one direction and generating a first detection signal;
• detecting a component of the magnetic field in another direction and generating a second detection signal;
• generating a first initial detection value using the first detection signal;
• generating a second initial detection value using the second detection signal;
• correcting the first initial detection value by using a second correction value generated from a latest one of the second initial detection value without using the first initial detection value, and updating the first initial detection value;
• correcting the second initial detection value by using a first correction value generated from a latest one of the first initial detection value without using the second initial detection value, and updating the second initial detection value;
• determining a first detection value that represents a component parallel to a first reference direction of the magnetic field, based on the latest one of the first initial detection value;
• and
• determining a second detection value that represents a component parallel to a second reference direction of the magnetic field, based on the latest one of the second initial detection value.

A magnetic sensor device comprising:

• first detection means for detecting a component of a magnetic field in a first direction and generate a first detection signal;
• second detection means for detecting a component of the magnetic field in a second direction different from the first direction and generate a second detection signal;
• third detection means for detecting a component of the magnetic field in a third direction different from the first direction and the second direction and generate a third detection signal;
• and
• processing means for:
• generating a first initial detection value using the first detection signal;
• generating a second initial detection value using the second detection signal;
• generating a third initial detection value using the third detection signal;
• correcting the first initial detection value by using a second correction value generated based on at least one of a latest one of the second initial detection value and a latest one of the third initial detection value, without using the first initial detection value, and update the first initial detection value;
• and
• determining a first detection value that represents a component parallel to a first reference direction of the magnetic field, based on a latest one of the first initial detection value.

A method of detecting a magnetic field comprising:

• detecting a component of a magnetic field in a first direction and generating a first detection signal;
• detecting a component of the magnetic field in a second direction different from the first direction and generating a second detection signal;
• detecting a component of the magnetic field in a third direction different from the first direction and the second direction and generating a third detection signal;
• generating a first initial detection value by using the first detection signal;
• generating a second initial detection value by using the second detection signal;
• generating a third initial detection value by using the third detection signal;
• correcting the first initial detection value by using a second correction value generated based on at least one of a latest one of the second initial detection value and a latest one of the third initial detection value, without using the first initial detection value, and updating the first initial detection value;
• and
• determining a first detection value that represents a correspondence with a component of the magnetic field parallel to a first reference direction, based on a latest one of the first initial detection value.
