Abstract
The invention provides methods for the inhibition of Eosinophil Extracellular Trap (EET) formation. In particular, the invention provides antibodies or binding fragments thereof directed against citrulline-containing epitopes, for use in methods to inhibit or detect EET formation. The methods may be for the diagnosis, treatment or prevention of any disease or condition which includes an EET-associated pathology.
Claims19
A method of inhibiting the formation of eosinophil extracellular traps (EETs), the method comprising administering an antibody or binding fragment thereof that specifically binds to a citrullinated epitope on deiminated human histone 2A and/or histone 4 to a sample or a subject in which eosinophils are present.
A method of treating or preventing a lung disorder comprising administering an antibody or binding fragment thereof that specifically binds to a citrullinated epitope on deiminated human histone 2A and/or histone 4 to a subject with said lung disorder.
