An evaluation method comprising,

• by a computer:
• acquiring detection information indicating a result of detecting a periphery of a vehicle by a sensor, and travel information of the vehicle;
• determining, by using the detection information, timing when there is a possibility of collision between the vehicle and another object;
• and
• determining, by using the travel information corresponding to the timing determined, whether a driver of the vehicle has performed an operation for reducing the possibility of collision, and evaluating the driver based on a result of the determination.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program causing a computer to perform:

• acquiring detection information indicating a result of detecting a periphery of a vehicle by a sensor, and travel information of the vehicle;
• determining, by using the detection information, timing when whether there is a possibility of collision between the vehicle and another object;
• and
• determining, by using the travel information corresponding to the timing determined, whether a driver of the vehicle has performed an operation for reducing the possibility of collision, and evaluating the driver based on a result of the determination.
