Claims20
A device for temporary use in cataract surgery and post-operative surgical care comprising:
- an elongate tubular structure including at least one internal channel extending between a proximal end of the tubular structure and a distal end of the tubular structure, the proximal end of the tubular structure including an annular flange extending axially therefrom, the annular flange having a patient-facing first surface and an opposite proximally-facing second surface,
- a vertical wall extending proximally from the annular flange, the vertical wall and the second surface of the annular flange defining a bore therein configured to receive a fluid injection apparatus, the bore being in fluid communication with a proximal end of the internal channel, and
- one or more grooves in fluid communication with the proximal end of the internal channel to permit physiologic fluids to pass through the device to balance intraocular pressure, the one or more grooves extending along the annular flange and the vertical wall.
