Clavicle fixation system

A method of stabilizing bone comprising:

• providing a clavicle fixation device including:
• an elongated plate extending between first and second ends, the elongate plate including a plurality of spaced apart screw holes, and
• an extension extending from the first end of the elongated plate, a descending arm extending inferiorly from the extension portion to a given depth, and a lateral arm angling laterally from the descending arm;
• and
• positioning the clavicle fixation device on bone.

A method of stabilizing bone comprising:

• providing a clavicle fixation device including:
• an elongated plate extending between first and second ends and defining a longitudinal axis, the elongate plate including:
• a plurality of spaced apart screw holes disposed along the longitudinal axis;
• a plurality of suture holes along opposed sides of the elongated plate;
• and
• a plurality of undercuts disposed on an inner surface of the elongated plate, each undercut being aligned with a corresponding suture hole to allow free passage of a suture underneath the elongated plate without interference at a plate/bone interface;
• an extension extending from the first end of the elongated plate, a descending arm extending inferiorly from the extension portion to a given depth, and a lateral arm angling laterally from the descending arm;
• and
• positioning the clavicle fixation device on bone.
