Vehicle headlight evaluation

An apparatus for headlight calibration, comprising:

• a camera mounted on a vehicle;
• a headlight calibration evaluation system comprising:
• a memory;
• and
• one or more processors communicatively coupled with the memory, the one or more processors configured to:
• receiving, from the camera, at least one image that includes at least a portion of an illumination pattern projected by a headlight of the vehicle upon a surface of an object;
• evaluating the illumination pattern based on at least a positional relationship of the camera, the headlight, and the surface of the object;
• and
• outputting at least one of a headlight position status or a headlight orientation status based on evaluating the illumination pattern.

An apparatus for headlight calibration, comprising:

• means for receiving, from a camera mounted on a first vehicle, at least one image that includes at least a portion of an illumination pattern projected by a headlight of the first vehicle upon a surface of an object;
• means for evaluating the illumination pattern based on at least a positional relationship of the camera, the headlight, and the surface of the object;
• and
• means for outputting at least one of a headlight position status or a headlight orientation status based on evaluating the illumination pattern.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions for headlight calibration, the instructions comprising code for:

• receiving, from a camera mounted on a first vehicle, at least one image that includes at least a portion of an illumination pattern projected by a headlight of the first vehicle upon a surface of an object;
• evaluating the illumination pattern based on at least a positional relationship of the camera, the headlight, and the surface of the object;
• and
• outputting at least one of a headlight position status or a headlight orientation status based on evaluating the illumination pattern.
