Abstract
A Method and Apparatus for measurement in non-terrestrial network is provided. The method includes receiving a measurement configuration IE and a conditional reconfiguration IE, performing conditional reconfiguration evaluation based on the measurement configuration IE and a conditional reconfiguration IE, considering the first cell as a triggered cell and applying the stored condRRCReconfig 1E of the first cell. In the evaluation, at least two comparisons are performed based on a distance hysteresis and distance between the terminal and one or more reference positions.
Claims15
A method by a terminal, the method comprising:
- receiving from a base station a radio resource control (RRC) reconfiguration message, wherein the RRC reconfiguration message comprises:
- a set of parameters for first measurement report configuration;
- a set of parameters for second measurement report configuration;
- a set of parameters for measurement duration configuration;
- and
- a bitmap for one or more synchronization signal physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) blocks;
- performing measurement on at least one SS/PBCH block;
- and
- performing conditional reconfiguration procedure based on:
- measured results;
- the set of parameters for first measurement report configuration;
- and
- the set of parameters for second measurement report configuration.
A terminal in a wireless communication system, the terminal comprising:
- a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a signal, and
- a controller configured to control the transceiver to:
- receive from a base station a radio resource control (RRC) reconfiguration message, wherein the RRC reconfiguration message comprises:
- a set of parameters for first measurement report configuration;
- a set of parameters for second measurement report configuration;
- a set of parameters for measurement duration configuration;
- and
- a bitmap for one or more synchronization signal physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) blocks,
- perform measurement on at least one SS/PBCH block, and
- perform conditional reconfiguration procedure based on:
- measured results;
- the set of parameters for first measurement report configuration;
- and
- the set of parameters for second measurement report configuration.
