Customized content delivery

A television service provider system comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory including instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the television service provider system to perform operations comprising:
• receiving information indicative of a scene from a television receiver disposed in a user premises;
• identifying a content item based on the information indicative of the scene;
• transmitting, by the television service provider system, the content item to the television receiver;
• receiving an effectiveness score associated with the content item and the scene;
• and
• updating metadata associated with the content item based on the effectiveness score.

One or more non-transitory, machine-readable media having machine-readable instructions thereon which, when executed by a television service provider system, causes the television service provider system to perform operations comprising:

• receiving information indicative of a scene from a television receiver disposed in a user premises;
• identifying a content item based on the information indicative of the scene;
• transmitting, by the television service provider system, the content item to the television receiver;
• receiving an effectiveness score associated with the content item and the scene;
• and
• updating metadata associated with the content item based on the effectiveness score.
