Electrical connector with an improved waterproof cover

A waterproof cover adapted for covering a front face of an electrical connector, the waterproof cover comprising:

• a cover portion covering the front face of the electrical connector;
• and
• a tube portion unitarily perpendicularly extending from the cover portion;
• wherein the tube portion defines an inner ring rib at an inner side thereof and an outer ring rib at an outer side thereof, and the inner ring rib and the outer ring rib are perpendicular to an axis direction of the tube portion.

An electrical connector comprising:

• a housing defining a tube portion with a mating cavity, the tube portion defining two ring grooves along an outer side thereof;
• a plurality of terminals retained in the housing and protruding in the mating cavity;
• and
• two waterproof rings set in the two ring grooves, respectively;
• wherein each ring groove defines a floor, the floor defines at least one planar floor, a gas discharge gap is defined between the water ring and the at least one planar floor.
