Methods and systems for occupancy detection using a video feed

An apparatus, comprising:

• one or more memories configured to store instructions;
• and
• one or more processors communicatively coupled with the one or more memories, wherein the one or more processors are configured to:
• receive a video feed from a camera located in the room;
• detect, using an artificial intelligence (AI) model, a person in the video feed;
• identify a location of the person on a floor plan of the room based on a video feed location of the person detected in the video feed;
• and
• where the location of the person on the floor plan is at the point of interest for at least a threshold period of time, indicate the point of interest as being occupied.

One or more computer-readable media storing instructions, executable by one or more processors, for indicating occupancy of a point of interest in a room, the instructions comprising instructions for:

• receiving a video feed from a camera located in the room;
• detecting, using an artificial intelligence (AI) model, a person in the video feed;
• identifying a location of the person on a floor plan of the room based on a video feed location of the person detected in the video feed;
• and
• where the location of the person on the floor plan is at the point of interest for at least a threshold period of time, indicating the point of interest as being occupied.
