A glass fiber according to the present invention contains SiO2 that forms a glass skeleton, Al2O3, and an elastic modulus adjustment component for improving the elastic modulus; and this glass fiber has acid resistance.

A glass fiber comprising:
- SiO2 that forms a glass skeleton;
- Al2O3;
- and
- an elastic modulus adjustment component for improving an elastic modulus of the glass fiber,
- wherein the glass fiber has acid resistance.
