Methods and systems for multiple cell target conditional handover

A system comprising:

• a user equipment;
• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one memory, the at least one memory storing instructions, that when executed by the least one processor, to cause the UE to at least:
• obtain a conditional handover command, the conditional handover command indicating a target configuration to be selected for a conditional handover, the target configuration comprising at least one primary cell of a master cell group and at least one primary cell of a secondary cell group,
• determine that at least one trigger condition for a target primary cell of the master cell group and at least one trigger condition for a target primary cell of the secondary cell group are satisfied,
• select the target configuration, upon the determination that the trigger conditions are satisfied, and
• trigger the conditional handover.

A method comprising:

• obtaining, a conditional handover command, the conditional handover command indicating a target configuration to be selected for a conditional handover, the target configuration comprising at least one primary cell of a master cell group and at least one primary cell of a secondary cell group,
• determining that at least one trigger condition for a target primary cell of the master cell group and at least one trigger condition for a target primary cell of the secondary cell group are satisfied,
• selecting the target configuration, upon the determination that the trigger conditions are satisfied, and
• triggering the conditional handover.
