A method for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced composite material by impregnating reinforcing fibers with a resin composition, the method comprising steps of:
- laminating the reinforcing fibers and the resin composition on a carrier film to prepare a laminate;
- and
- pressing and advancing the laminate while rotating a plurality of impregnation rolls to impregnate the reinforcing fibers with the resin composition, wherein
- at least two impregnation rolls adjacent to each other among the impregnation rolls have projecting and depressed grooves on respective surfaces,
- between a projection and a projection on a surface of one of the two impregnation rolls adjacent to each other, a projection on a surface of the other of the two impregnation rolls adjacent to each other is disposed,
- the impregnation rolls are substantially on a same plane, and
- at least one of impregnation rolls having the projecting and depressed grooves has the projection having a width larger than a width of the depression or has the projection having a width smaller than a width of the depression.
