A formulation for an effective oral administration of ciclopirox with no adversal gastrointestinal toxicity

An oral pharmaceutical composition comprising:

• a therapeutically effective amount of ciclopirox or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, solvate or prodrug thereof;
• tocopherol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester or ether thereof;
• and
• alginate or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester or ether thereof.
