Abstract
A planter module and an expandable modular planter system for both indoor and outdoor use. The planter modules are configured to maintain adequate moisture/water and are substantially hexagonally shaped permitting substantially close adjacent positioning and connection between planter modules to form a modular planter system in a honeycomb pattern. The modular planter system is reconfigurable both horizontally and vertically.

A planter module comprising:
- a body comprising an open top portion and a lower base portion, the lower base portion having a diameter smaller than an inner diameter of the upper open top portion, and
- wherein the lower base portion comprises means for reversible connection to an upper side wall of up to three other modular planters.
A kit for assembling a modular expandable planter system, comprising a plurality of planter modules, each of the planter modules comprising:
- a body comprising an open top portion and a lower base portion having a diameter smaller than an inner diameter of the upper open top portion,
- wherein the lower base portion is configured for collecting water,
- wherein the lower base portion comprises means for releasable connection with at least one other adjacent modular planter, the means is further configured for reversibly receiving and support legs around the periphery of the lower base portion.
