Abstract
A method of preparing polymer powder which is able to serve as a binder for a particulate material through dry mixing, and a binder composition including the polymer powder are disclosed.

A method of preparing polymer powder for a binder, comprising the steps of:
- (a) preparing a polymer solution in which a polymer including two or more blocks is dissolved or dispersed in an organic solvent;
- (b) preparing a polymer emulsion by mixing the polymer solution with an emulsifier and an inorganic solvent and then removing the organic solvent;
- and
- (c) preparing particulate polymer powder by removing the inorganic solvent from the polymer emulsion,
- wherein the polymer powder has an average particle size of 1 to 50 μm.

A binder composition comprising polymer powder for a binder,
- wherein the polymer powder includes two or more blocks and has an average particle size of 1 to 50 μm, and when the polymer powder is subjected to dry mixing with a particulate material, polymer particles dissociate and bind to at least a portion of the surface of the particulate material.
